About the County Administrator

The County Administrator is an appointed position created by the Ogle County Board in September of 2005.  Meggon began her duties as County Administrator in April 2009.   As Administrator her responsibilities are: 

         
   
 
Manages the day-to-day functions of all county administrative departments under the jurisdiction and policy control of the county board.
 
   
 
 
Preparing the county’s annual budget for submission to the Finance Committee and County Board and, when adopted, overseeing budget implementation.
 
    

 
Attends and participates in Board and Committee meetings; assists in preparation of agendas and supporting material.
 
 

   

Administers the County’s Personnel Policy, reviews and recommends changes in Policy
 
 
   
Advising the county board on questions of policy that come before it.
